
American sprinter Allyson Felix (top photo, number 960) sprinted to an amazing victory Friday at Osaka, Japan. In the 2007 Track and Field World Championships 200 meter final Allyson ran one of the fastest times in history, covering 200 meters in just 21.81 seconds. Ms Felix defeated 2007 100 Meter world champion Veronica Cambell who placed second in 22.34. Susanthika Jayasinghe of Sri Lanka took third in 22.63 seconds.In game one of the WNBA Eastern Conference Championship tonight the Indiana fever defeated the 2006 WNBA World Champion Detroit Shock 75 to 65. Tamika Catchings (bottom photo, left) scored 22 points to lead her team to victory. The two teams meet again Sunday at 1 p.m. eastern from Detroit for game two of the three game series.
