At the 2007 World Track and Field Championships Meseret Defar of Ethiopia (Top Photo) continues her great year, Ms Defar won the 5000m final in a time of 14.51.91. Earlier in the year Meseret Defar broke the world record in the same event.
In the 4x100m final Allyson Felix of The U.S. won her second gold medal along with teammates (Bottom Photo, right to left) Lauryn Williams, Mikele Barber and Tori Ewards. The U.S. women ran a time of 41.98.
