This is the second time in this years post season play that Cappie hit a critical shot to win. In game one of the Western Conference Finals against the San Antonio Silver Stars with the score tied at 100 she made 2 free throws with just 2.1 seconds left in the game for the win.
The five game WNBA Championship series is now tied at two games each. See the decisive game this Sunday at 4:30 p.m. eastern on ESPN2 or listen live on WNBA radio.

I am so out of the sports loop these days, but this game sounds like it was just ridiculously exciting. It's interesting though, I haven't heard anybody talking about it at all though. Wonder why.
Hi Liz,
The WNBA playoffs and the Finals have been great. We don't hear much about women's sports in general, I think that has a lot to do with most sports journalists being male and a bit biased against woman overall.
There is actually a sports show on Fox Sports called the Best Sports Show (something like that)and they actually do segments on Hooters pagents. How do you go from covering Hooters pagents to covering women's sports?
Hopefully over time this will continue to change.
Also in general I think women's sports stars are much more suitable role models for kids. It's too bad then that they don't get the coverage.
I was just watch ESPN less than an hour ago. One of the PTL hosts actall said at the tail end of the segment 'I'm tired of having thw WNBA shoved down my throat.'
Since when did poker become a sport?
Hi Monica,
(lol)I know and one day I was channel surfing and they were playing dominoes! I thought gee ESPN ran out of sports.
I've heard lots of male sports journalists make those comments, but I prefer the women to the NBA. Those guys are soooo boring! I miss Dennis Rodman and Scottie Pippin!
I was a Houston Comets season ticket holder until i moved. One thing I noticed immediately was that the quality of WNBA play was fundamentally better than the overpriced babies in the NBA.
Some of those NBA players couldn't hit a 15 foot jumper if you held a gun to their head. Don't even get me started on the lack of shooting prowess at the free throw lines, the general lack of defense....
Even legendary UCLA coach John Wooden has remarked that if you want to see basketball the way it should be played, you need to show up at a women's game.
Hi Monica,
The only problem with the WNBA is they for some reason don't market it very well, atleast in non WNBA cities. Even the WNBA store is really bad. I've bought WNBA stuff from ebay because the selection on the official website is bad.
I wish they would step up the marketing, there are some really intresting women who play, they should highlight them.
As far as the NBA goes, I think the last time I watched a whole game Jordon was still playing.
