When I lived in New York, I loved to wander around Manhattan with my friends until just before dawn. The city was so amazing at 4 or 5 a.m. So quiet. We would take the subway home before the commuters started their trek. We took the 7 train home and I remember that after it reached Queens and came out of the tunnel onto the elevated tracks, if we were lucky we would catch the sunrise. It was so fun to look out from the train at the city that was still groggy from the night.
Now I love to wake up (I don't even need to set my alarm) and take a hot shower, only a candle as light in the house. Listening to whatever music feels right for that particular morning, maybe Sade's Diamond Life , or Vivaldi's The Four Seasons. After showering I like to just move slowly and immerse myself in the moment, not thinking about the upcoming day or work or any such things. Sometimes I read a chapter or two of a book, sometimes I just sit and listen, to the music or to the quiet.
I hope that one day I can share this beautiful time with someone. I hope that they will love it too. I doubt if they would want to wake every morning as I do, so early. And I don't think I would want the company every morning anyway. In the mean time, I'm going to keep love, loving my wondrous, amazing pre-dawn.

Hi Lisa,
Well, usually when I write something I have a image in my mind. so I go and search the internet, sometimes I get lucky and find what I'm looking for in five minutes and sometimes I'm not so lucky and it might take an hour to find what I'm looking for. (I hate when it takes that long). (lol)
