I think most of you remember little Jurnee Smollett from the film Eve's Bayou . Well she's all grown-up and starring in the Denzel Washington film The Great Debaters. The film opens Christmas Day nationwide. Let's hope Jurnee keeps getting roles like this so that she won't have to go the way of her Eve's Bayou co-star Meagan Good who mainly stars in 'hood' flicks these days.

Jurnee has I believe 6 siblings. Their names all start with the letter J. I'm not sure why.
She looks the same to me. Not really my type but very attractive young lady.

When I saw the commercial for "The Great Debaters" the other day I said to myself, "That looks like Jurnee Smollett". I meant to look it up on imdb.com, but forgot to do so. Thanks for the confirmation.
