I payed a visit to the blog Anali's First Amendment and read her post about happiness. It's a really good post and it got me to thinking about what makes me happy. So in true blogger fashion I thought I would make...a list!

Aw, what a lovely post! I'm going to have to post my list on my blog... (thanks for the inspiration once again)
oh yeah! these are fun
right now, all i can think of are lazy saturdays, sleeping til noon, salty food, warm breezes, good music, new shoes, funky earrings, really good books, a good joke, aw man i could go on and on.
being in love is truly the best one.
e.
magazines, waffles, chocolate, sun, sex, and debate
reading and buying books, watching basketball games, hanging out with my family, travelling, brie cheese and water crackers, my dog, my ipod, discovering something new, dr. pepper, and laughing loud.
Books and magazines
Music and my iPod
Blogging
Roed trips with girlfriends
A warm fire on a snowy day
Autumn
My nieces and nephews
My pets: Jax, Raja and Bad Juju

i have a few favorite things, as i like to call them. i also love the song by the same name, especially teh version by al jarreau.
my list is a bit longer than the others, but i'll give it up anyway:-)
-----------------------
a few of my favorite things are =
the fact that I know I have the Love of God in and on my life, my daughters lives & my partner's.
the birds and learning about them just by watching them, their songs that they sing, the way a mocking bird is able to sound like so many different birds,, is just awesome,,,
my chuck taylors,, all of them*grin*, mountain dew, fried chicken, watching our girls learn to do new things, the breeze that blows the wind chimes and the songs that it plays, the sweet mountain air, the salt air, turtles and butterflies, the way butterflies land on me,
compassion, trust, being able to spread God's love to others, being able to think of others before myself, the ability to forgive, having someone to love as they need to be loved, and to love me back the way I need to be loved, clear communication between me and my partner , learning all things from raising children,
nutty-buddy's, grapes, grace and mercy, knowing that God will show up always right on time, good friends, cookies, and donuts, honey roasted peanuts, teaching, sitting on the porch, collard greens, mac-chesse and ham, a clear night, a cool day, music, art, the way flowers are resilient after a wind storm, the cycles that nature goes through,
and my list could go on,,,
In no particular order...
1)Sweets! Especially See's Candy.
2) A great first date.
3) Checking my caller ID and it's him.
4) Hanging with my henchwomen.
5) Buying and experimenting with new makeup.
Danielle,
Being comfortable with who you are, that's a good add to the list.
