I love her work. I want to visit her museum in Mexico. I've watched so many documentaries on her as well as Salma Hayek & Alfred Molina's film "Frieda" w/sets by the AMAZING Julie Taymor.
What a fascinating, complex, vulnerable, fragile and yet very strong woman. I would love to have known her.
What an amazing woman! Her work is so intense and painful. Just looking at it, you know that she was trying to work it out on canvas. She really painted her soul. The movie about her was so good. I should just buy it, because I'd like to watch it again.
yes, i have seen the movies, i had to buy them. :D i have one that i used in the classroom that is very good. got it from one of my art supplies catalogs. good buy

now, you have brought in a very complex and talented woman. i do love her work.
are you an admirer of her work?
she didn't start painting until she had her accident and was in the hospital.
good choice.
She was influenced by Surrealism - arguably my favorite!
WTM,
Yes I came across Frida's work about 10 years ago. I've loved her art every since!
