In the film Reggie Hudlin is portrayed by Damon Wayans' character Pierre Delacroix. He like Hudlin is given the task of coming up with exciting new programming starring African Americans. He is prompted by his boss, of course that would be Sumner Redstone and in the film represented by the character Thomas Dunwitty (played by Michael Rapaport). Like Hudlin, Delacroix tries to think of the most demeaning, degrading way to show African Americans and like Hudlin decides on a modern day minstrel show.
I won't give the rest of the story away but this is a must see in the era of Hot Ghetto Mess and rap videos. This is a great film to see this weekend and especially a great film for teens to see who don't quite get what the fuss about BET and rap is all about.

ROTFLMAO......
Now all we need to see on BET is Shirley Q Liquor Unplugged since they're in to broadcasting stereotypes.
Hi Monica,
The amazing thing about Bamboozled is that it was realeased in 2000 and it was one of Spike Lee's least watched films. This is a must see for anybody who has a problem with media stereotypes.
And this film seems like it was written about BET.
And that Shirley person is a disgrace to humanity. Since that person wants to dress in blackface maybe someone should show him how real Black people are treated everyday in this country. Just Thursday after the rally in Jena they caught some White men driving around in Jena with a noose hanging from their pick up truck.
OMG! I have got to see this flick. Spike Lee takes no prisoners does he? Bless him for not being scared to tell it.
Not only were these fools driving around with nooses but drove past the bus station where many were waiting for their buses back home. Taunting. They learn nothing.
Hi Jackie,
With all that's going on in the media now, this is a must see film.
Yeah that noose thing was bad and yet there were so many people dening that Jena has a problem.
I saw it in the theater when it was first released and had a WTF reaction to it when I was watching in in my local multiplex.
Then about 20 minutes into the film I had a moment of epiphany and saw it for the ingenions commentary on modern American media that it was.
