Swin Cash (pictured) and the Detroit Shock will take on Cappie Pondexter and the Phoenix Mercury in the 2007 WNBA Finals which begin this Wednesday.The Shock defeated the Indiana Fever earlier tonight 81 - 65 to win the Eastern Conference Championship. The Mercury rapped up their series against the San Antonio Silver Stars Saturday night by sweeping the Silver Stars 2 games to none in the best of three Western Conference Championships.
The Shock will be trying for a two-peat after winning last years WNBA Finals. They also won the Championship in 2003.
The WNBA Finals tip off at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Detroit and can be seen live on ESPN2 and listened to live online on WNBA radio.

I'm still bummed over my Comets not making the playoffs.
But that's alright. The Drive For Five will resume in 2008
I think they are re-building. I may be wrong but it seems they have a lot of players who have been with them since the league started.
