I have been trying to decide if I want to decorate for the holidays. Pretty soon it's going to be a moot point, so I need to make a decision soon.I know that I won't be putting up a tree. That's just not really my style. I purchased some Christmas lights before Thanksgiving. But I used one box of them for mood lighting around my desk here at home, oops. So I have one box left. I think the lights will look good in my front window. I just have to get the holiday spirit I guess.
I think one problem is that only one house in my immediate area has any decorations. So there is no visible neighborhood holiday spirit.
Have you decorated for Christmas? If so did you put up a tree? Do you enjoy the holiday decor thing? Is anyone celebrating Kwanzaa?

Thanks for the Hanukkah wish.
I'm a sucker for the holiday season. I spray Christmas scent in my office every morning and play at least one of my classic holiday CDs.
Decorating for the holidays is big here. The day after Thanksgiving the lights go up, and the wreaths and stockings are hung. The folks in my neighborhood keep it classy--no inflatable snowmen, but quite a light show.
Hubby and I haven't gotten into the full-on outside decorations. It seems like such a hassle. The day after Thanksgiving, I put some poinsettas on the fireplace mantel, put up the tree, wrapped the lightpole in the yard with garland and ribbon, and tossed the pumpkins and dried cornstalks that were decorating the front porch for autumn. That's all I'm doing.
I say, do a little decorating. it will help put you in the mood.
MDC: Yes, I put up a tree. This is the first year I have ever put one up before Christmas Eve - no, seriously, I'm the hugest procrastinator with this stuff!! Anyway, I promised Amber that if she cleaned up really good, I would get the tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. . . she did. . so, I had to follow through. It's a live tree with only clear lights. . I like it simple
