Phyllis is my girl....boy do I miss her ;(
Hi Monica,
I love Phyllis too, I never saw her perform but I met her once at a flea market in N.Y. There is a new bio of her out now here is the link;

I saw Phyllis perform once with Frankie Beverly and Maze. I am so glad I got the chance.
p.s. I used to be agoraphobic.
Hi Janie,
Phyllis Hyman was amazing, I wish I could find a dvd of her performing.
My agoraphobia goes away for periods, sometimes it's a few days, sometimes it's months. I've had it since I was 15. It's also aggravated by stress.
Did you work to relieve it or did it go away naturally?
I worked to relieve my agoraphobia. It was really bad when I had it. I pretty much learned techniques/self-talk to help me through panic attack etc. 15 years later, I still have to work at it to manage my anxiety at times.
Janie,
I try that to, sometimes I'm able to talk myself through it, sometimes I'm not. I'm still working on it. But congrats for getting yours under control.
