I guess this is my week for taking tests. I found a really interesting and potentially helpful website. The website, glassbooth.org, is designed to help voters learn which presidential candidates share their views on major topics.
I took the test and it told me what I already suspected, that the candidate I would like to see as president is Dennis Kucinich. Apparently Mr Kucinich and I share the same view on 85% of the issues the test looked at.
The test took a total of about 5 minutes or less, there are two parts. So, if you still haven't decided who you are voting for or just want to make sure your candidate is really the one, check it out.

Thanks for this. Apparently I should be supporting Kucinich, too. I got 86% similarity with his views. I'm a John Edwards supporter, but he and I had only 81% similarity. We were alike on everything but views on gay marriage, which I support.
Hi Tami,
Unfortunately the (corporate) media decides for most people who they will vote for. People like Dennis Kucinich get very little coverage while the so-called top candidates get tons of it. That's a shame.
I understand that some people, for religious reasons, disagree with same-sex marriage, but on purely legal grounds I really can't understand how it can be denied.
Also I'm always uncomfortable when legal and civil rights are contracted rather than expanded.
Seeing the results of the Glass booth survey made me recall how many people I have heard say, "Well, I really like Kucinich, but he will never get elected, so..." Hell, I think I've said it myself. Is this how we do ourselves in at the polls?
I agree with you. I think legislation that curbs citizens' civil rights is contrary to our country's ideals and fails to demonstrate our basic humanity.
Hi Tami,
I have also heard a lot of people say they will vote for someone because they have a chance to get elected.
They believe that candidate has a chance because the media tells them so.
MDS: I took the test - I'm 85% John Edwards, 84% Hillary Clinton, 83% Barak Obama. . . That's pretty close.
hi Lisa,
wow, that's a dead heat as they say. Looks like you have some decisions to make.
Have a great Happy Thanksgiving!
