Remember little Olivia from The Cosby Show? Raven-Symone who's real name is Christina Pearman was just three years old when she began to appear on The Cosby Show. She'll be 22 on December 10.Unlike many other child stars Raven has had nothing but success as she has gotten older. She has done movies, was part of the singing group the Cheetah Girls and has her own television show, That's So Raven, which can be seen on The Disney Channel.

Yes, she is all growed up. Although I know she's very talented, she was never my fav child actor. But, I am so proud of her now. One thing is she, and thankfully Disney, is OK with her being larger than size 0. Good for you Raven!

One of the keys to her success in more recent times is her involvement in front and behind the scenes. If memory serves she has served as a producer for her show That's So Raven, and has a number of financial investments that are doing really well for her.

I didn't know she was producing, thats' where the real money is and it gives her control too.

My mother-n-law in San Diego calls about 10/11 her time and its usually our 7 oclock here.

I love Raven so much that I wrote a post on her in my series of women I admire.
The fact that she's soon to be 22 was irrelevant. She's a wonderful role model not only to her generation but to all of us.
I look forward to the day that I can see her branch out in more adult roles befitting her considerable talents.
What some of us 'older folks' forget sometimes is that we can learn some valuable lessons from the kids.
